Janelle Chaigne

Janelle Chaigne (previously Edmondson) is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in providing for First Responders. She is a Certified Complex Trauma Professional - Level 2, EMDRIA Clinician providing EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC). She has over 9 years of professional mental experience as a registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse.

 

She holds several First Responder volunteer positions. She is the Critical Incident Support Specialist for Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department in the Collegedale/Ooltewah area. She holds the position of Mental Health Professional with the Tennessee Disaster Mental Health Strike Team - providing debriefings and individual support to First Responders throughout the state of TN. She is a founding member of the Tennessee First Responder Suicide Prevention Task Force and is Co-Chair of the training division. She is affiliated with the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance and BlueHelp.org.

Doug Kinnard

Doug Kinnard, MA is a LPC licensure candidate with over 13 years of counseling experience. He has experience working with individuals and families as well as several years in the addiction and recovery field. He has experience working with trauma and approaches counseling from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. He also provides EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). He is the Critical Incident Counselor for Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department and is working the Critical Incident Stress Department. He is a member of Tennessee Disaster Mental Health Strike Team and provides the role of Mental Health Professional and Peer Support.

 

Doug also has vast experience working with first responders and has recently retired from a 27 year career with Columbia Fire and Rescue in Columbia TN. He holds several certifications from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and has been published in the ICISF LifeNet publication.

Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith, PMHNP-BC is an ANCC Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.  He has been in the medical field for over 9 years, and has specialized in psychiatry for the past 3 years.  He graduated with honors from Southern Adventist University with a Master of Science degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health.  He has prior experience in the areas of renal/dialysis care, emergency medicine, and inpatient psychiatric care.

Anna Kate Needham 

Anna Kate Needham, Pre-licensed Professional, M.A. NCC, is a graduate of Adams State University with a Master’s degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health. She is from Chattanooga area and has completed and met the qualifications to be a Nationally Certified Counselor.
 

She has 3 years of clinical graduate experience working with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients challenge their negative thoughts. She has completed basic training in EMDR which helps to reprocess difficult life events and focuses on building clients existing strengths for future life challenges.

 

She enjoys working alongside individual clients by helping them develop resilience and become self-
sufficient through the counseling process.
